Being located in the heart of the French Quarter, MRB real history is a long one. The property spent most of the 19th century as a brothel and boarding house. Even boasting its own ghost. Yes, the story of a young woman who hung her herself when her lover didn’t return from sea is quite real and so is her permanent occupation of the MRB grounds. Chairs moving on their own after closing time has been well documented on security cameras making MRB a hot spot for dozens of ghost tours nightly. Under new ownership April 2018.
