Frankie and johnny’s restaurant was opened in 1942 by Johnny Morreale and his then brother in law Frank Gaudin. The restaurant thrived feeding hungry dock workers and merchant men who made a living working on the river. Besides the abundant seafood prepared with care, the hallmark of this small eatery was Johnny’s warm personality and genuine love of the restaurant business. Today we continue Johnny’s mission by pursuing our one simple goal: to be the best neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans. Thank you for visiting Frankie & Johnny’s!
